About the Company
Red Ocher Solutions was founded for the purpose of helping client companies use technology as a tool to make their business more successful. Business owners are tired of computer issues distracting their staff from performing the core tasks that make the company money.
The founder, Rick Russon, has a background of aerospace engineering and business process consulting. He believes that an IT vendor must first understand the core activities that make money for a client company. Technology resources are then deployed where they can make processes more efficient and effective.
The priority at Red Ocher Solutions is to develop computer networks that are reliable and have minimal impact on company workflow when the inevitable failures occur. We develop solutions based on best-of-class technology, business functionality, employee work preferences, budget and cash flow. We also use formal project management techniques to assure that technology initiatives are completed on time and on budget.

About the Name
Indians of the Southwestern United States believed that spirits were pleased with the color red. Therefore, they painted rocks and other objects with a mixture of iron oxide, glue, and oil to form a Red Ocher paint. It was also their belief that the very act of painting a stone with Red Ocher gave them the power of the spirit dwelling in that stone.
